DESCRIPTION

Originally released in 1980, this rare masterpiece by Hiroki Tamaki is a visionary fusion of Japanese acid folk and spiritual progressive rock. Inspired by the teachings of Indian philosopher Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, the album explores themes of mysticism, meditation, and cosmic harmony.

Violinist, composer, and arranger Hiroki Tamaki crafts a transcendent soundscape by layering rich vocal harmonies with the ethereal synthesizer work of Fumitaka Anzai (TPO, Urusei Yatsura). The result is a deeply immersive journey through experimental composition and introspective textures.

Highlights include the acid folk gems “River” and “Beautiful Song,” both featured on the revered compilation Nippon Acid Folk 1970–1980, as well as expansive prog-influenced tracks like “The Songs of Mahamudra” and “Meditation.”

A true collector’s item, this reissue is beautifully packaged with:

  • Gatefold jacket presentation

  • Obi strip included

  • Extensive liner notes by Yuji Shibata (in Japanese with English translation)
