DESCRIPTION
Back in stock due to popular demand — the 50th release in our signature Brazil 45’s series. For this edition, we reissue two standout tracks from Célia’s incredible and sought-after second self-titled LP from 1972.
‘Na Boca Do Sol’ was written and arranged by Arthur Verocai and Vitor Martins, with the original version appearing on Verocai’s iconic self-titled album. Fuzz guitar, drums, strings, and Célia’s commanding vocal combine to create an epic Brazilian masterstroke of cinematic soul and MPB.
On the B side, ‘A Hora É Essa’ kicks off Célia’s LP with a lively samba-funk workout, rich in jazzy piano licks, strutting guitars, and punchy horn arrangements — a vibrant and uplifting groove from start to finish.
Both tracks were originally pressed on a 7” by Continental in 1972 — a rare gem that is now extremely hard to come by. This reissue offers a long-overdue chance to own these two Brazilian classics on 45 once again.
