DESCRIPTION
Miss Cheryl is midtempo Brazilian disco-jazz-funk at its finest, delivered by the legendary Banda Black Rio. With its combination of bass, synths, horns, drums, cuica, and soulful vocals, this track embodies the quintessential 80s Rio vibes. Originally released on the Saci Pererê LP in 1980, Miss Cheryl became an iconic track within the 'Rare Groove' scene after the full-length version was released on 12” in the UK that same year.
On the B-side, Melô Do Tagarela (Rapper's Delight) (Instrumental) by Miele brings its own unique flavor. This instrumental version of the track, inspired by the classic Rapper’s Delight, offers a smooth, funky groove that complements the A-side’s energetic vibe perfectly.
