DESCRIPTION
Back in stock due to popular demand — the 11th release in the signature Brazil 45’s series from Mr Bongo, featuring two absolute jewels from Brazil’s rich musical heritage: João Bosco – O Ronco Da Cuica and Antonio Adolfo E A Brazuca – Transamazônica.
On the A side, ‘O Ronco Da Cuica’ is a standout MPB masterpiece by prolific guitarist João Bosco. Originally released on his 1976 Galos de Briga LP on RCA Brazil, this intoxicating track had never received an official 7” release until now. A mesmerising blend of impassioned vocals, feverish cuíca rhythms, and intricate acoustic guitar picking, it captures the raw energy and elegance of Bosco’s signature style.
On the flip, ‘Transamazônica’ by Antonio Adolfo E A Brazuca is a timeless Brazilian jazz-fusion classic. Taken from their elusive 1971 self-titled LP on Odeon Brazil, the track had also never been released on 7” format. Adolfo, who founded Trio 3-D and later collaborated with Elis Regina, delivers a groove-laden, sophisticated instrumental that’s beloved by collectors and DJs alike.
This release brings two exceptional deep cuts to 7” vinyl for the first time — essential listening for Brazilian music lovers and vinyl enthusiasts.
