DESCRIPTION
Originally released in 1973, this hauntingly beautiful debut solo album by Hideki Ishima—guitarist of the legendary Flower Travellin’ Band—offers a singular vision of Japanese psychedelic rock. Departing from the heavier sounds of his previous work, Ishima leans into a dreamy blend of acid folk, introspective singer-songwriter storytelling, and otherworldly guitar textures that float across the stereo field.
The album is enriched by contributions from key figures of the Japanese underground scene: Flower Travellin’ Band drummer George Wada, future Transam members Chito Kawachi and Nobuhiko Shinohara, and Katsuo Ohno of PYG on keys. The result is a deeply personal record that feels both rooted in its era and timeless in its emotional depth.
This definitive reissue features a bold remaster by Makoto Kubota (ex-Les Rallizes Dénudés), bringing new clarity to an essential, long-overlooked piece of Japan’s rock history.
