Released in 1999, 2001 is the second studio album from West Coast hip-hop icon Dr. Dre and the highly anticipated follow-up to his groundbreaking debut The Chronic. The album helped redefine the sound of late-90s hip-hop with Dre’s signature polished production, heavy basslines, and cinematic G-funk sound.
Packed with legendary collaborations, the record features appearances from Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Nate Dogg, Xzibit, Kurupt, and many more. The album includes some of the most recognizable hip-hop tracks of all time, including Still D.R.E., Forgot About Dre, and The Next Episode.
