Grammy-winning artist Doechii unveils the 7" grey vinyl edition of her viral hit “Anxiety”, a raw and introspective exploration of inner turmoil, paranoia, and emotional instability. Originally recorded in her bedroom in 2019 for her self-released mixtape Coven Music Sessions, the track gained renewed attention after being sampled by rapper Sleepy Hallow. The song’s haunting production and confessional lyricism, blending Latin and African rhythms over a xylophone melody, captivated listeners worldwide.
In 2025, Doechii re-recorded the track, offering a fresh perspective on her early work. The accompanying music video, released in April 2025, visually depicts themes of psychological distress and feeling overwhelmed, featuring surreal scenes inside her home and paying homage to Gotye and Kimbra’s 2011 hit “Somebody That I Used to Know.”
This limited edition 7" single offers fans a tangible connection to Doechii’s musical journey, showcasing her evolution as an artist. The inclusion of the instrumental track provides a deeper appreciation of the song's composition.
