DESCRIPTION

Madlib’s Beat Konducta Vol. 5-6: Dil Cosby & Dil Withers Suite is a heartfelt instrumental tribute to his late friend and collaborator J Dilla. Originally released as two separate volumes in 2008, the project brings together 42 soulful, jazz- and funk-infused beats shaped by Madlib’s loose, sample-heavy production style.

With contributions from J. Rocc, the collection moves through hazy loops, chopped soul, dusty drums and brief instrumental sketches while paying respect to Dilla’s influence. This 2LP edition reunites both volumes on metallic silver and gold vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.
