After My Name Is My Name (2014; US rap: #2) and King Push - Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude (2015; US rap: #1), PUSHA-T releases his long-awaited third solo album DAYTONA. On the first of five albums produced exclusively in Wyoming by Kanye West, Rick Ross (hard piano) is a featured guest alongside Kanye himself (What Would Meek Do?). Already in the early nineties, PUSHA-T and his brother Malice celebrated their first successes in the hip-hop scene as the rap duo Clipse and released several successful albums up until 2009. As a solo artist, he signed with Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music and was featured on his platinum hit Runaway that same year. The Virginia rapper describes the album as the result of musical therapy sessions and makes it clear: DAYTONA means that I enjoy the luxury of having time.
