DESCRIPTION
Free the Robots’ Vol. 1 returns to vinyl nearly two decades after its original 2006 release. A key document from the early Los Angeles beat scene, the EP showcases Chris Alfaro’s distinctive blend of instrumental hip-hop, jazz, psychedelia and electronic music.
Built around dusty drums, chopped samples and atmospheric textures, the record includes longtime favorites “Jazzhole” and “Diary,” both of which remain staples from Free the Robots’ early catalogue. This 2026 reissue is pressed as a 12" vinyl release through Elsewhere Studios / NAYMLIS.
