Miles Davis’ Milestones is a landmark in jazz and one of the defining recordings of the late 1950s. Originally released in 1958, the album features Davis alongside an exceptional sextet including John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Red Garland, Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones.

Combining hard bop with Davis’ increasingly adventurous approach to harmony and improvisation, Milestones captures a pivotal moment in the development of modern jazz. The album features the iconic title track, “Milestones,” as well as celebrated performances including “Dr. Jekyll,” “Two Bass Hit” and “Straight, No Chaser.”
