Seam splits on record jackets are a common occurrence with vinyl: we cannot issue refunds or replacements for seam splits. We use sturdy mailers and stiffeners to minimise risk but to 100% avoid seam splits, we have added a notes section at checkout where you can request jacket-less shipping, or you can email us after placing your order — we’ll gladly accommodate this free of charge.
DESCRIPTION
The Bordeaux Gold vinyl edition of the "Pimpalation" LP by Pimp C was released on Rap-A-Lot and brings the album to market in a specially designed vinyl format. The edition states the color name directly in the title and presents the work in a physical version that preserves the album’s original artwork and visual language. With this variant, Rap-A-Lot issues a version that emphasizes the album format and puts the appearance of the release on vinyl front and center.
Musically, "Pimpalation" documents Pimp C’s return after his release from prison and includes a number of tracks that were considered key singles at the time, including "Pourin’ Up" and "Knockin’ Doorz Down." On the LP, alongside Pimp C’s distinctive voice, productions by the likes of Mike Dean and Jazze Pha clearly stand out and shape the sound of the release. The "Pimpalation" LP on Rap-A-Lot brings together the defining moments of the 2006 album and foregrounds its song-focused highlights without altering the original track sequence. This edition offers a compact way to experience Pimp C’s solo work from that period on vinyl.
