Seam splits on record jackets are a common occurrence with vinyl: we cannot issue refunds or replacements for seam splits. We use sturdy mailers and stiffeners to minimise risk but to 100% avoid seam splits, we have added a notes section at checkout where you can request jacket-less shipping, or you can email us after placing your order — we’ll gladly accommodate this free of charge.
DESCRIPTION
Pete Rock’s Soul Survivor is the legendary producer and MC’s debut solo album, originally released in 1998. Built around his warm, sample-rich production style, the record combines soulful loops, heavy drums and jazz-inflected textures with an extensive lineup of some of the era’s most respected rappers.
Featuring appearances from Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Prodigy, Kurupt, Common, Black Thought, Big Pun, Large Professor and more, Soul Survivor is both a showcase for Pete Rock’s production and a snapshot of late-’90s East Coast hip-hop. This 2LP edition presents the full album across four sides of vinyl.
