With a catalog of releases stretching well into triple digits, the prolific rapper/producer has ascended to rarefied air, working with the likes of Earl Sweatshirt, Westside Gunn, Evidence, Knxwledge, Vinnie Paz, Onyx, Oh No, and more. Before he reached these heights, the Atlanta wordsmith had a major breakthrough in the summer of 2016, as TGIF began to circulate more than any of his previous releases. Executive produced by Mach-Hommy and featuring the first ever Mach/Fahim collaborations, the album introduced one of the most rewarding long-term partnerships in hip-hop history. With sparse soundscapes anchored in Fahim's raw sample mastery, TGIF is equal parts ominous and meditative, with a spiritual mindstate underpinning fierce battle rhymes. Capturing a gifted young artist striving to transcend an unforgiving world, the entirely self-produced collection remains an inspired act of lyrical myth-making. After a very limited initial pressing only available through Bandcamp, TGIF is finally receiving a proper vinyl release. This 10th Anniversary Edition includes three physical-only bonus tracks and new artwork designed under the direction of Tha God Fahim.
