Seam splits on record jackets are a common occurrence with vinyl: we cannot issue refunds or replacements for seam splits. DESCRIPTION
Rashad & Confidence’s The Element of Surprise returns in a newly remastered 2LP edition. Originally released in 2011, the album pairs Brooklyn MC Rashad’s detailed storytelling and agile flow with Boston producer Confidence’s warm, sample-heavy production, rooted in soul loops, classic breaks and a distinctly ’90s-inspired boom-bap aesthetic.
This 2026 reissue expands the original album with three additional tracks: the 2019 single “Desires” and two previously unreleased recordings from the original sessions, “Non Stop” and “Feel It.” The full album has been remastered for this edition, making it the most complete vinyl version of the project to date.
