DESCRIPTION
This riessue of Bun B’s “Trill” LP was released by Rap-A-Lot and brings his 2005 solo debut back on vinyl. This edition gathers the album’s standout moments, including the singles “Draped Up” and “Get Throwed,” offering a tangible version of one of the most influential solo works in Bun B’s catalog.
Musically, “Trill” showcases the connection between classic Southern elements and contemporary U.S. hip hop production. The album features numerous guest appearances from Jay-Z, Pimp C, Ludacris, Scarface, T.I., Young Jeezy, Paul Wall, and Trey Songz, highlighting the breadth of its collaborations. Production contributions come from the likes of Mannie Fresh, Jazze Pha, and Mike Dean, giving the sound a range from heavy beats to melodic arrangements. Rap-A-Lot presents this LP edition as a representative release from the mid-2000s, once again making Bun B’s work with some of the most important Southern hip hop voices of that era accessible.
