DESCRIPTION
Jay Electronica’s A Written Testimony is his long-awaited debut studio album, originally released in 2020 through Roc Nation. Recorded over a period of 40 days and 40 nights, the album pairs Jay Electronica’s dense, spiritual lyricism with extensive contributions from JAY-Z, who appears throughout much of the project.
Production comes from Jay Electronica alongside No I.D., Swizz Beatz, Hit-Boy, The Alchemist and Khruangbin, with additional guest appearances from Travis Scott and The-Dream. Across 10 tracks, the album moves through themes of faith, history, identity and legacy, balancing cinematic production with intricate wordplay and reflective storytelling.
